Thanks to everyone for a successful first class! We had a great time and I loved the insect body part song and mucking around for aquatic invertebrates!
Just a friendly reminder, PLEASE REMEMBER TO ARRIVE ON TIME, I will be closing the doors of the class 10 minutes after class starts, after that time (and for safety/disruption purposes) we ask that students do not enter.
Please note: the time for classes on Wednesday afternoons for the 8-12 yr. olds is from 1:30-3 pm. It was posted at 2:30 pm in the online registration. The class is 1.5 hours long.
For those of you in the Ecosystems on the Edge Block of classes here is the “Blue Crabs in Peril” class prep material for September25th and 26th:

13-16 yr. old Class: Documentary Making
Homework that was assigned for last class included reading a packet about how to write a script and a rough outline that students are to bring to class, for preproduction, to discuss ideas for their documentaries.
Students may bring their own laptop, e-book, or smart tablet to class for the duration of class, however we will be asking that phones only be used for data or recording and not for personal use.
RIDE SHARE: I have two students that need a ride share to PG County Community College, off of 214, after the student documentary class. If you can help please e-mail me for details (McDonaldK@si.edu).
