SERC Home School & Anne Arundel Bird Club (AABC) Duck Stamp Contest

The Junior Duck Stamp program was developed by the US fish and Wildlife Service to encourage waterfowl conservation and education. Students paint, draw, colors, and design a picture for a  stamp, to be published, by the US FWS which is then sold to raise funds for waterfowl conservation. We’re  hosting a smaller contest, locally, to encourage students to participate!

SERC Home School students (former and future) grades K-12 are invited to enter  the SERC Home School and Anne Arundel Bird Club Duck Stamp      Contest.  Participants should follow the official rules for the Junior Duck Stamp Competition hosted by  the US Fish and Wildlife Service.  http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck/ArtContest.htm#GeneralInformation

Entries for the SERC and MOS contest should be submitted no later than 1/5/2014. Entries may also be submitted (regardless of winning our contest) to the US Fish and Wildlife Service competition too! The winner of the SERC/MOS competition will receive one free year of membership to the Maryland Ornithological Society and a backpack of birding supplies (backpack, binoculars, book, lists, etc.).

To enter send your entries to SERC c/o Karen McDonald, PO Box 28 Edgewater, MD 21037.
